Have a hankering for the famed farm show milkshake? You’re in luck. The Pennsylvania Farm Show’s food court opens to the public today from noon to 9 p.m.

So what’s in store for the throngs of hungry visitors at this year’s event?

The Mushroom Farmers of Pennsylvania rolled out an updated Blue Ribbon blended burger during a tasting event Thursday in the food court at the 101st Pennsylvania Farm Show.

Introduced in 2016, the burger, a mix of 30 percent mushrooms and 70 percent beef, will be topped this year with Pennsylvania-produced bacon and grilled portabella mushrooms.

Samples of pulled pork nachos, chocolate-covered bacon and pulled pork on a Martin’s potato roll were accompanied by the Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association’s renowned milkshake at the preview event.

The menu rounded out with vegetarian options featuring Pennsylvania-grown mushrooms in a healthful salad and creamy soup.

The farm show officially opens its doors 8 a.m. Saturday.
