President and CEO
Armstrong World Industries
“I strive to be balanced and authentic, and I’m naturally an optimist, all of which pervade how I lead,” said Armstrong World Industries’ President and CEO Vic Grizzle. “I trust my people, and I want to see them and Armstrong be successful. I have a passion for growth, improvement and delivering results. As for impact, since AWI separated the floor business and became a ceilings and walls focused company, we have grown 47%, from just over $800 million in 2016 to $1.1 billion in 2021, and we’ve done it profitably, with integrity and by offering an unmatched portfolio of solutions and services.”
Earlier, Grizzle spent 16 years at GE, where he started up a $25 million manufacturing facility in Shanghai, and led a number of regional businesses across the globe. “In those roles, I learned all aspects of establishing and leading successful manufacturing businesses from operations and (profit and loss) management to marketing, sales and people development.”
He said he likes the outdoors and being active – fly fishing, golfing, hiking, kayaking and biking, topped off with grilling and good wine. “I particularly enjoy adventuring with my kids; we ski out West, and we’ve cave dived in Belize, bungee jumped and paraglided.”
