Urology of Central Pennsylvania will be moving to a bigger East Shore office next year, complete with a urology-specific surgery center.

The East Pennsboro Township-based urology practice has signed a long-term lease in a new 30,000-square-foot medical office building being constructed at 815 Sir Thomas Court in Lower Paxton Township, about a mile from the practice’s current East Shore office and just west of PinnacleHealth Community General Osteopathic Hospital.

The facility, which is being developed by Williams Holding Group, a company owned by brothers Paul and Andrew Williams of Susquehanna Township-based A.P. Williams Inc., who are also building the new office, is about 40 percent larger than the practice’s current office.

“The urologists at UCPA are personally committed to this community that they’ve grown up in, trained in and living in, and they continue to invest in an infrastructure that will allow UCPA to improve and expand service,” said Kevin Smith, practice administrator and CFO.

UCPA will occupy about 19,500 square feet in the two-story building. In addition to the 9,000-square-foot surgery center, the practice will have about 9,000 square feet for their clinic, plus about 1,500 square feet for a patient information center, Paul Williams said.

“In their current building, they were struggling to find more space and more useful space,” he said. “Plus, they were looking to build their own surgical center.”

Site work for the building began in May and construction is expected to be done by March 2018, Williams said. UCPA is slated to move in by May 2018.

UCPA also has patient care locations in Newport and Millersburg, as well as the Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg and JC Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.

The remaining space is available for professional office users, though the developer is targeting medical users because of the close proximity to the hospital.

“We bought the property with the intention to do just what we’re doing,” Williams said.

CBRE Group’s Harrisburg team of Michael Curran and Jeremy Shyk worked on the deal between UCPA and the landlord.

The remaining space also is being marketed by CBRE.
