Urology of Central Pennsylvania, Inc. next week is opening its new East Shore office, which includes an outpatient urological surgery center.
The East Pennsboro Township-based urology practice began the project last summer after signing a long-term lease at a new, 30,000 square-foot medical office building located at 815 Sir Thomas Court in Lower Paxton Township.
Near the PinnacleHealth Community General Osteopathic Hospital, UCPA‘s new office is about a mile away from its former East Shore location. The new space is about 40 percent larger than its former facility.
A company owned by brothers Paul and Andrew Williams of Susquehanna Township-based A.P. Williams Inc., Williams Holding Group, developed the building.
Site work for the building began May 2017, and UCPA was originally slated to move in this May.
The practice will occupy about 19,500 square feet in the two-story building. In addition to the 9,000-square-foot surgery center, the practice will have about 9,000 square feet for its clinic, plus about 1,500 square feet for a patient information center, according to previous Business Journal reporting.
UCPA also has patient care locations in Newport and Millersburg as well as at the Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg and JC Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. The practice has 11 urologists in all.
