UPMC Pinnacle acquires York area ambulance service

White Rose Ambulance in York County is joining the Community LifeTeam emergency response network operated by UPMC Pinnacle.

White Rose Ambulance in York County is the newest addition to the Community LifeTeam, the ambulance network of UPMC Pinnacle.

“We look forward to welcoming White Rose Ambulance and its employees to the UPMC Pinnacle family,” UPMC Pinnacle CEO Philip Guarneschelli said in a statement. “As York’s regional leader in EMS service, its staff is dedicated to their patients and the community, and we are delighted to join them in our effort to make the communities we serve healthier.”

White Rose Ambulance bring a fleet of 34 emergency service vehicles to Community LifeTeam, which operates in 45 municipalities across the midstate. A statement from UPMC Pinnacle said the acquisition will be finalized in March.

White Rose will continue serving its hospital partners regardless of their affiliation, including WellSpan’s York Hospital and WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital.

“We look forward to continuing the work we do for the community, including continued service to our current hospital partners, as part of Community LifeTeam and—with the support of UPMC Pinnacle—offering even more,” said White Rose CEO James Arvin. “Both organizations share a vision to consistently deliver exceptional mobile patient care and transportation.”
