Denver, Pennsylvania-based UGI Utilities, Inc. has been recognized as “Easiest to do Business With” for the second year in a row.
The utility was among 35 utility companies nationwide recognized as “Easiest to do Business With” in the recent 2022 Cogent Syndicated Utility Trusted Brand & Customer Engagement Residential study by Escalent, a leading human behavior and analytics firm.
The Cogent Syndicated Customer Effort Index determined that customers expect utilities to provide proactive digital information, along with options that make it easier to complete transactions.
“High customer satisfaction comes down to awareness and use of offerings that make a customer’s life easier,” said Chris Oberle, senior vice president for Escalent. “And digital service options provide the easiest experiences for utility customers. However, many utility customers are just not aware of these offerings.”
“Anticipating customer service needs and offering solutions before customers initiate contact is the new bar for top-performing utilities.” he said. “Proactive and self-service options provide the greatest opportunities for exceeding customer expectations.”
“UGI is very pleased to be named a nationwide leader in customer service,” Daniel Adamo, vice president of customer relations at UGI Utilities, Inc. said. “UGI has made significant investments in our employees, our technology, and our processes to enhance the customer experience with our company. We appreciate that our customers recognize these efforts.”
UGI serves more than 730,000 customers in 45 Pennsylvania counties and one county in Maryland.
