The U.S. Commercial Service is reopening its office in Harrisburg after 12 years.
The office, co-located with the World Trade Center of Harrisburg at 1000 N. Cameron Street, will provide enhanced U.S. government support for exporters in 19 counties in central and southcentral Pennsylvania while strengthening ties with the local international trade community, the organization said.
To celebrate, U.S. Commercial Service will hold an open house on from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. May 16 during which it will present Mechanicsburg-based Duck Donuts with an Export Achievement Award, which recognizes U.S. companies that have successfully exported to new foreign markets.
Duck Donuts will soon be opening its first franchise location in Qatar after assistance from the U.S. Commercial Service.
The U.S. Commercial Service is the trade promotion arm of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration. U.S. Commercial Service trade professionals in over 106 U.S. cities and in more than 75 countries help U.S. companies get started in exporting or increase sales to global markets.
