Traffic Control Services is finally getting a home – a home
other than the one in which founders Mike and Michele Doner live, that is.
Manchester Township-based Keystruct Construction Inc. will
break ground in a few weeks on Traffic Control Services’ first corporate
headquarters, officials from both companies said today.
Traffic Control Services provides “flaggers” for traffic
work zones.
The company has expanded from a handful of employees at its
founding six years ago to 400 staff members and 100 trucks that serve the Mid-Atlantic
region.
Keystruct estimated the planned, 16,600-square-foot office
building at 1411 Stoneridge Drive,
Lower Swatara Township, will be done by the end of April.
The $1.6 million-headquarters will allow the company to
double its office staff to eight positions and to add about 60 new field
employees over the next two years, company Vice President Mike Doner said.
Traffic Control Services had been operating out of dispatch
offices in the Harrisburg and King
of Prussia areas. The headquarters were at the Doners’ York Township
home.
Traffic Control Services will occupy half of the new
building and lease out the other half, Doner said.
