A program to boot vehicles with three or more outstanding parking citations in Harrisburg will take effect next week, according to Park Harrisburg.
The booting program will start Sept. 1. To avoid the boot and subsequent fines, drivers are being advised to pay outstanding citations before the program’s launch.
To remove a boot, the owner must pay all outstanding fines and fees to the district justice’s office, as well as an additional $75 fee. The latter fee must be paid at the Park Harrisburg office at 223 Walnut St.
People who don’t pay within 48 hours of being booted will have their vehicles towed.
