The Perfect 5th launches new music and art facility in Mechanicsburg

The Perfect 5th Musical Arts Center has moved to a new location under new ownership that will provide the community with a larger facility and more music and art programs than ever before.
The new building at 4913 Gettysburg Road in Mechanicsburg offers students and staff larger studios and more classroom space for private lessons, group classes, summer camps and workshops. The new location will help the school accommodate communities in Dillsburg, York, and Lancaster and also provide ample room for its growing art department.
“We’re proud of the top quality music instruction we have a reputation for providing,” explains co-owner and flute teacher Molly Shortridge.“We are so excited to expand our fine art program to offer individual instruction, paint nights, and art workshops too.”
The school has big plans for 2017. In addition to offering private instruction for over 18 instruments and voice, The Perfect 5th will offer expanded group classes for piano, rock band, children’s music and more. Its unique summer camp programs including Musical Theater, Art Exploration, Girls Rock Band, Live Audio and Recording, Musikgarten, Jazz and more will also thrive at the new facility.
“Our new location will enhance the quality of the instruction for the entire school and create new opportunities to grow our music and arts community,” says co-owner and guitar teacher Justin Clauser.
The school’s mission remains the same: to emphasize professionalism, dedication, discipline and perseverance along with a healthy dose of fun.
