Small businesses and nonprofits in York County can apply for up to $20,000 in coronavirus recovery money through the YoCo Strong Restart Grant Fund 2021 program.
The application process begins 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1, and ends 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19. The fund is administered by the York County Economic Alliance, with money allocated by York County from the federal American Rescue Plan Act. Applications must be submitted electronically, with requested documentation.
The Restart program may be used on such expenses as rent, utilities and equipment (incurred from June 30, 2021, to Dec. 31, 2021) for small businesses and nonprofits experiencing negative economic impact from COVID-19.
The following may apply:
- For-profit businesses with 50 or fewer full-time equivalent employees at the time of application submission. The business must have been established as of July 1 and have less than $3 million in annual gross revenue.
- Nonprofits with 75 or fewer full-time equivalent employees at the time of application submission. The nonprofit must have been established as of July 1 with less than $3 million in yearly gross revenue. Applicants must be incorporated as 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), 501(c)(6) or 501(c)(19).
Grants for applicants that began operations prior to Dec. 31, 2020, will be based on 2020 revenues from tax returns.
