The science–and characters–of Star Wars will take over the Lancaster Science Factory this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, November 16-17, 2019. Each day will offer Star Wars-themed, hands-on science at the Science Café. Visitors are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite Star Wars character.
On Saturday, November 16 from 12-3 p.m., Capital City Jedi Knights will perform choreographed light saber duels. Mav Oy’la Clan, the Pennsylvania chapter of the Madalorian Mercs Costume Club, will participate this year, adding extra fun for those anticipating the upcoming movie ‘The Mandalorian.” Ghost Base, the local chapter of Rebel Legion, will also be there.
On Sunday, November 17 from 12-2 p.m., dozens of costumed characters from Garrison Carida, specializing in Dark Side characters, will be at the event.
Both Saturday and Sunday in the Science Cafe there will be will include hands-on activities highlighting the science and engineering behind the Star Wars movies. In the Maker Space, participants can build their own Scribblebot with a Star Wars twist.
