Harrisburg presents annual holiday parade this Saturday

On Saturday, November 23 at 12 p.m., the annual Holiday parade in Harrisburg will kick off from Market and Front Streets by the Riverfront. The parade will feature marching bands, dance and step teams, giant parade balloons, floats and more.

The route will continue along Second Street, then down North Street and back up back down Front Street to complete the loop. Market Street from the West Shore will be closed to through traffic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For a map of the parade route and full details, please visit the event website.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will be food trucks and carnival games. After the parade, families can see Santa and enjoy complimentary cookies and hot cocoa at Strawberry Square.

Each year, the parade attracts more than 10,000 attendees. Four hours of free street parking is available using the “LUVHBG” code in the ParkMobile App. The code is only available for utilizing the ParkMobile app for street parking. Additionally, $10 special event parking is available at the Market Square parking garage.
