A $250,000 grant to the manufacturing sector of south central Pennsylvania is expected to train 120 workers and help grow the industry. 

The Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry was awarded $3.9 million from the U.S. Department of Labor to strengthen and modernize Registered Apprenticeship programs.

Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry Secretary Jennifer Berrier today announced the availability of $2.5 million in Schools-to-Work program grant funding to continue fostering partnerships between schools, employers, organizations, and associations that lead to career pathways for students.

The Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry said there is going to be a delay in payments for new applicants to the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance program after it detected potential fraud.

The Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry awarded $2.4 million in workforce development grants to counties across the commonwealth. In all, 19 workforce development boards were granted from $100,000 to $200,000 each, according to a Jan. 16 news release from the state.
