UPMC Pinnacle opened two new offices in Warwick Township, Lancaster County on Monday.

The cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program and sleep lab will be located in the same building at the health system’s Lancaster Pulmonary and Sleep Associates practice and will offer services that will benefit the practice’s patients.

Both services were previously offered at UPMC Pinnacle Lancaster and have now joined a number of services across the street from UPMC Pinnacle Lititz. The campus includes services like primary care, orthopedics, physical therapy and obgyn.

The Lancaster Pulmonary and Sleep Associates practice already offers patients treatment for lung disorders such as COPD and asthma as well as treatment for sleep-related conditions like sleep apnea and insomnia.

The new cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program will offer outpatient, medically supervised education, exercise and disease treatment to those patients in need of post-surgery care or suffering from lung or heart-related conditions.

UPMC Pinnacle has similar programs in Hanover, Harrisburg and Wormleysburg.

“UPMC offers patients comprehensive care in cardiac prevention, diagnosis, and treatment,” said Kelly McCall, public relations director for UPMC Pinnacle. “The cardiac rehabilitation program is a key component of that care. Similarly, UPMC also offers patients a comprehensive pulmonary care program. The sleep lab and pulmonary rehabilitation are key components of that care.”

UPMC Pinnacle’s new sleep lab at the building will provide both in-lab and at-home sleep studies that will help patients pinpoint if they have sleep disorders like narcolepsy, restless leg syndrome and insomnia.

The lab has four sleep rooms designed to have a spa-like atmosphere to help patients feel comfortable having their studies done in the office.

UPMC Pinnacle employs over 2,900 physicians and 11,000 staff member at over 160 outpatient clinics and seven hospitals in 10 counties.
