Herhey-based Jacobson Warehouse Company plans to lay off 77 of its 228 employees early next year.
Jacobson, a subsidiary of GXO Logistics in Greenwich, Connecticut, announced the layoffs in a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry this month.
The employees are scheduled to be separated during a 14-day period beginning on Jan. 31, 2022. None of the affected employees are unionized.
“While we are reducing some roles to adjust to business needs at this site, we’re working to transfer our colleagues to other GXO locations in the area,” said a GXO spokesperson.
Jacobson Warehouse Company provides warehousing and storage services. GXO Logistics employs approximately 95,000 people, operating around 850 warehouses.
