The Lancaster Airport received $3.7 million grant from the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program to complete improvements to its runway.

A $280,000 grant through the state’s Blight Remediation Program will be used to rehabilitate seven deteriorating properties in the City of York.

York Electrical Institute and the Manufacturers’ Association in York County and Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture in Dauphin County were awarded part of $2.8 million in grant funding through the state’s Schools-to-Work Program, or STWP.

The recipients included barbershops and salons (21%), retail stores (18%) and restaurants and food businesses (17%). More than 55% are located in downtown Lancaster.

The YMCA of York has received a $230,000 grant to continue to develop the nonprofit’s outdoor space.

  The York County History Center has received a $652,053 grant to aid in improving infrastructure on and around its new site in downtown York.
