To help long-term care facilities provide quality care as the population ages, the Department of Health (DOH) announced plans Tuesday to distribute approximately $11.7 million in federal Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

More than $69,000 in grants have been provided to eight local nonprofit organizations by the Racial Equity Fund (REF) Grant Program of York County Community Foundation (YCCF). The REF is made up of community leaders of color who choose projects that focus on issues of racism and integrity, addressing “shifting the paradigm of equitable opportunities.”

The Cumberland County Board of Commissioners recently approved an additional $1.21 million in Cumberland County Recovery Grants to businesses/nonprofits for COVID-19 recovery.

Awards totaling more than $44.2 million in Low Income Housing Tax Credits, more than $20 million in National Housing Trust Funds for the construction of 1,459 affordable multifamily rental units in Pennsylvania, and more than $9 million in PennHOMES funding, were announced by Gov. Tom Wolf Thursday.

Three grants totaling $9.25 million from the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) have been awarded to fund projects that will serve Dauphin County.

Lancaster is listed among the Pennsylvania counties receiving investment funding for drinking water, storm water, and non-point source projects through the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST), Gov. Tom Wolf announced. 

Existing and aspiring veteran small business owners will benefit from a new funding opportunity announced by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and aimed at awarding up to $400,000 to up to 12 entities to provide training and counseling as a Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC). 

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will receive and distribute $171.5 million in formula funds for electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure over the next five years as part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL).
