Central Penn Parent welcomes Kathryn Ross as publisher

Central Penn Parent and its sister publication, the Central Penn Business Journal, have a new leader in place. Kathryn Ross has joined the publications as publisher.

A seasoned business executive with extensive multimedia experience, Ross is responsible for overseeing day to day operations of both Central Penn Parent and the Central Penn Business Journal. She will report to Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, group publisher at BridgeTower Media, the parent company of both properties.

Ross has extensive experience driving publishing, advertising and marketing strategies for companies across a range of industries. Most recently, she served as chief revenue and marketing officer at Kross Strategies in Lancaster, advising companies on how to meet their business objectives and revenue goals successfully.  Prior to that, Ross held senior sales and marketing roles at Penn Waste and Ecore International. Ross began her career in publishing at The Meredith Corporation, Reader’s Digest and Gannett’s USA Weekend working with well known brands John Deere, Hunter Douglas, SubZero and MetLife Auto & Home.

“Kathryn has a rare combination of deep media experience and business acumen to add significant value to our readers, advertisers and partners,” said Fischer-Huettner.  “Her local relationships and background working in the Central Pennsylvania community will also deepen our audience engagement. She’s the perfect leader to help take our properties to the next level as we execute on several important growth initiatives in 2019.”

“I’m honored to take the reins of these critical local resources,” said Ross. “We have a great team that is committed to delivering the highest quality content and information to keep Central Pennsylvania businesses and families informed, engaged and connected.”

Under Ross’s leadership, Central Penn Parent will look to expand its existing programs with fresh content and new events that meet the evolving needs of the local parenting community.

An active community volunteer, Ross serves as a Trustee for Millersville University of Pennsylvania, a Mentor at SCORE Lancaster and is a member of the Board at Clare House, Advisory Board for New Choices, and Community Advisory Board for WITF. A graduate of Wake Forest University, she resides in Lancaster.
