Pennsylvania and the five other Chesapeake Bay states and the District of Columbia agreed 10 years ago to take actions to clean and protect local waters and ultimately save the Bay.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection is supplying hundreds of thousands of dollars to counties in the Chesapeake Bay watershed to pay for local coordinators to develop plans to reduce water pollution.

In what has been described as a first-of-its kind partnership, Turkey Hill has joined with the Maryland & Virginia Milk Producers Cooperative Association and the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay to form the Turkey Hill Clean Water Partnership (THCWP), a public/private collaboration aimed at working with farmers to implement best-practices and environmental plans into their operations.
