The Shapiro Administration announced the new Airport Land Development Zones program to help energize Pennsylvania's economy.

Five airports in central Pennsylvania and the Lehigh Valley were among the recipients of $10 million total in state investments, announced Monday by Gov. Tom Wolf, through the Aviation Transportation Assistance Program. 

The design plan for a massive levee system rehabilitation project at Harrisburg International Airport (HIA) was shelved for nearly a decade because of its cost by the Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority (SARAA). 

Harrisburg International Airport’s leadership entered 2020 with high hopes after last year proved to be the airport’s best year on record.
