She has served in her current position for 12 years. As the executive director of Four Diamonds, Graney is responsible to lead the community movement that inspires and activates more than 100,000 students, donors, and volunteers in THON and Mini-THON to help the organization to conquer childhood cancer. “In my role, I serve as a visionary, strategist, fundraiser, spokesperson, and leadership coach,” she says.
As Four Diamonds entered its 50th anniversary year last year, Graney said the organization faced the combination of staff turnover and the uncertainty of how coming out of the pandemic would impact the non-profit sector. “In response, we relied on data to re-tool our strategy, hired highly competent team members who brought new ideas and energy, and we maximized our fundraising and awareness efforts by combining industry best practices with innovative solutions. Those efforts led to our most successful fundraising year ever,” she says.
