A former Susquehanna Bancshares Inc. executive is returning to the company this summer.
Michael Harrington will start in June as executive vice president and treasurer, the Lititz-based parent of Susquehanna Bank said Monday.
Harrington served as chief financial officer of Susquehanna’s New Jersey subsidiary from 2002 to 2003, the company said. He is coming to Susquehanna from First Niagara Financial Group, where he is treasurer and chief investment officer.
He will lead the accounting and finance department and report to Susquehanna’s chief financial officer, Susquehanna said. Susquehanna’s CFO, Drew Hostetter, is currently handling the treasurer’s role, according to Susquehanna’s website.
“Mike is a talented executive who brings the added benefit of being very familiar with our company and the markets we serve,” Susquehanna President and CEO William Reuter said in a statement.
Susquehanna Bank has more than $17.5 billion in assets and roughly 260 branches in the Mid-Atlantic. The company’s shares trade on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol SUSQ.
