Harrisburg International Airport received a $2.2 million grant from the state, PennDOT announced yesterday afternoon.

The grant will be used to pay off debt related to the construction of the terminal building, which opened in 2004, said airport spokesman Scott Miller. This is the last state grant the airport expects to receive for terminal-debt payments. The state has contributed about $10 million in grants to the project, he said.

The Dauphin County airport is owned and operated by the Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority.
