Stambaugh Ness has acquired a business valuation firm and formed a new division to assume the work.
Artisan Value Advisors became part of the York County-based accounting firm effective Nov. 1. Artisan’s founder, Glenn Spinello, is now a principal at Stambaugh Ness and head of its newly formed value advisory practice area.
The firms did not disclose the financial terms of the transaction.
Spinello founded Artisan in 2015. He has 30 years of business, accounting and valuation experience, including nearly 16 years working as a partner at accounting firm ParenteBeard before its acquisition by Baker Tilly.
Stambaugh Ness is the second midstate company to acquire a business valuation firm in recent weeks. Lancaster County-based Trout, Ebersole & Groff LLP announced last week that it had purchased Wolfe Valuation LLC.
