York’s suburban Springettsbury Township has a new person to oversee the pace of growth and community development within its borders.
Jessica Fieldhouse joined the township as director of community development on July 1, Springettsbury has announced.
Fieldhouse previously was housing development consultant at Mullin and Lonergan Associates Inc., a housing and community development consulting firm with offices in Pittsburgh and Camp Hill. She also has served as director of community development for the YMCA of York and York County.
She most recently worked for Northwestern Mutual, as both a practice manager and recruiting and development director.
She is one of three new employees in the community development department for Springettsbury, which is currently searching for a township manager, the top day-to-day administrative official.
Springettsbury has some 27,000 residents, and is a popular community for retail and new businesses.
The other new employees in the community development office are:
– Shawn Strausbaugh, who began as the township’s senior plumbing inspector and codes enforcement official on July 18.
– Ray Markey Jr., who also joined the township on July 18 as plumbing inspector and code enforcement official.
