YCEA to honor York-area individuals and businesses

On Wednesday morning, Sept. 28, at the Yorktowne Hotel, the York County Economic Alliance will honors individual and corporate winners of the 2016 “Spirit of York County Awards.”
The honorees are:
– Elizabeth Heathcote, manager, York Township, as “Appointed Official of the Year.”
– Jeffrey Devine and Bobby String, managers of the Lowe’s stores in East York and West York, respectively, with the “Community Service Award.”
– York Traditions Bank, as “Education/Workforce Development Advocate of the Year.”
– State Sen. Patricia Vance, as “Elected Official of the Year.”
– York-based Mantec, with the “Nonprofit Community Impact Award.”
– And Claire Forbush, vice president, commercial lending, ACNB Bank, as “Volunteer of the Year.”
Registration and a buffet breakfast open at 7 a.m., with the awards presentation to follow.
The awards are given annually, and winners are selected by past recipients of the awards, YCEA organizers said.
The YCEA oversees economic-revitalization efforts in York County, and serves as a resource for county businesses.
