Dauphin County-based Soccer Shots Franchising will unveil a new headquarters next week in Lower Swatara Township.
The 16,000-square-foot facility at 1020 S. Eisenhower Blvd. will give Soccer Shots more space to add staff in support of its plans for growth.
Soccer Shots offers programs that instruct children ages 2 through 8 in how to play soccer. Since it began franchising in 2005, the company has grown to 116 franchisees operating in 36 states and Canada. Soccer Shots also was recently named the official partner for US Youth Soccer’s program for 2- to 5-year-olds.
Officials said the new headquarters — about three times the size of the company’s former headquarters in Lower Swatara Township — will allow the company to boost its staff of 26 people. The franchise company is hoping to fill three positions now and eventually grow to more than 35 people.
The facility cost more than $2 million, with funds coming from the franchise company and from its Harrisburg/York franchise, which is owned by company co-founder Jason Webb and his wife, Mandy. Both entities will own and operate the facility.
Webb’s local franchise will run soccer programs at the new facility. It also will serve as a training center for other franchise operators and coaches.
“Soccer Shots has been, and always will be, about growth and positive impact,” said Justin Bredeman, CEO of the franchise company. “Our new space will further facilitate such growth, support and learning among our team, our franchise partners and the children we serve.”
Soccer Shots acquired the land for the facility from the Harrisburg Christian Performing Arts Center. The facility is opening April 5.
