Simon Lever LLP is adding a team of professionals from a small Cumberland County firm to its roster.
The Lancaster County accounting and business advisory firm is merging with Hampden Township-based Hartman & Scheuchenzuber effective Jan. 1. The combined company will operate under the Simon Lever name.
Hartman & Scheuchenzuber’s professionals will continue working out of their current Trindle Road office after the merger, giving Simon Lever its third location.
Simon Lever recently moved its headquarters to a new office in Manheim township, Lancaster County and has a second office in Wormleysburg, in Cumberland County.
The firms did not disclose the financial terms of the transaction. Five Hartman & Scheuchenzuber professionals will stay with the company after the merger, after which Simon Lever will have about 60 total employees.
The past few weeks have proven busy ones for merger activity in the midstate accounting world. A Mechanicsburg-area CPA firm recently became part of RKL LLP, while Stambaugh Ness and Trout, Ebersole & Groff both acquired small business valuation firms.
