Sept. median house prices fall in most of midstate

The median sale price of houses dropped in September in
Dauphin, Lancaster and York counties, but increased in Lebanon County,
compared with the year-ago period, according to Fulton Research Inc.

Dauphin, Lancaster and York counties, but increased in Lebanon County,
compared with the year-ago period, according to Fulton Research Inc.

Fulton is a real estate
advisement company with offices in Lancaster
County and Virginia. The group recently released its
quarterly Residential Market Trends real estate analysis.

The following list shows September median sale prices in
the midstate compared with the same month last year. The September 2008 median price in Cumberland County
was not included in Fulton’s
report.

  • Cumberland County: $195,120;
  • Dauphin County: $180,289 vs. $206,502 in Sept. 2008;
  • Lancaster County: $182,117 vs. $187,929 in Setp. 2008;
  • Lebanon County: $177,473 vs. $175,948 in Sept. 2008;
  • York County: $175,683 vs. $179,280 in Sept. 2008.
