Electric scooters, also referred to as e-scooters, are a burgeoning means of getting around in cities throughout the country, but Pennsylvania law currently does not allow them on roads and sidewalks. A proposed bill seeks to add them to the state vehicle code and treat them as bicycles, paving the way for their use.
