Rutter’s plans Lebanon County store in 2019

Manchester Township-based Rutter’s has plans to open a new store in West Lebanon Township, Lebanon County, in 2019.

The York County convenience store chain recently purchased more than six acres of land at 1655 W. Cumberland St. from Lebanon County-based CU16 LP. Adam Hagerman, Brad Rohrbaugh and Chad Stine of Bennett Williams Realty represented the seller in the transaction. Bennett Williams declined to disclose the sale price.

Construction on the lot is expected to begin in the fall. The store is projected to open early next year, said Kirsten Stanley, marketing coordinator for Rutter’s. She anticipates that the new store will employ between 40 and 50 people.

The chain has one other Lebanon County location, in South Annville Township, according to its website.

The company, which has more than 70 stores, recently opened its first location in West Virginia, one of several planned locations outside Pennsylvania.
