Rock Lititz to expand with aid of $2.25M loan

Lancaster-based EDC Finance Corp. today was awarded a 10-year state loan for $2.25 million on behalf of Rock Lititz, which is adding a second building to its complex in Warwick Township.

Rock Lititz is building a 252,000-square-foot structure on 10 acres, part of a 96-acre complex dedicated to the live entertainment industry.

The building will be occupied by 18 to 30 live-event technology companies. The entire project is projected to cost $18.3 million.

The state funds come from the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority, which approved more than $13.2 million in low-interest loans for 13 projects in eight counties.

EDC Finance also was awarded a nearly $1.5 million loan on behalf of RLB Ventures Inc., a manufacturer of store fixtures, point-of-purchase displays and custom commercial casework. RLB is renovating a 67,260-square-foot building on 6.7 acres in East Cocalico Township.

The $3.3 million project will create 10 new jobs and retain 32.

Two Lancaster County farm purchases also were awarded PIDA loans. One was for $400,000 on behalf of C. Donald Wissler III and Holly Wissler to buy a 77-acre farm in Martic Township.

Another $200,000 went to Joshua and Britni Akers to purchase a 158-acre farm in East Drumore Township.
