Laurie M. Peer is replacing Sarah Young Fisher as president of RKL Wealth Management LLC, a subsidiary of consulting firm RKL LLP.

Fisher, who led the firm since 2005, has assumed the role of president emeritus. She will serve in an advisory capacity to the RKL Wealth Management team and continue to serve clients full-time, RKL officials said.

During Fisher’s 13-year tenure as president, RKL Wealth Management surpassed $1 billion in assets.

“We are grateful to Sarah for her leadership in evolving RKL Wealth Management into the respected investment advisory and financial planning firm it is today,” RKL CEO Edward W. Monborne said in a statement. “Laurie has been an integral member of the RKL WM executive team and will continue to deliver the collaborative and highly personalized client experience that is a hallmark of RKL WM.”

In her new role as president, Peer will oversee firm operations, carry out its growth strategy, lead a 20-person team and continue to enhance integration of client experience between RKL Wealth Management and RKL’s CPA and business advisory services.

Peer previously served as the firm’s executive vice president and is also a partner of RKL LLP. She joined RKL in 1992.

A resident of Alsace Township, Peer belongs to the Reading Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and serves as board member and vice president for the Berks County Estate Planning Council. She sits on the board of the United Way of Berks County.
