The state collected $2.2 billion in General Fund revenue in December, according to a statement from the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue. That amount is $39.9 million, or 1.8 percent, more than anticipated.
The revenue collected included sales-tax receipts of $679.4 million, personal-income tax revenue of $797.6 million and corporation-tax revenue of $558.9 million.
Fiscal year-to-date General Fund collections total $11.7 billion, which is $175.8 million, or 1.5 percent, above estimates.
