Heather Krebs, like her father Rod, was born and raised in southern York County.
So they are proud to be the new local owners of a financially troubled golf course in the York area that is “a crown jewel,” as Heather Krebs called it today.
Rod Krebs bought Regents’ Glen Country Club in Spring Garden Township late last week for an undisclosed price, his daughter said, and he has been getting “a wonderful, overwhelming response” from the community since the news broke, she said.
Regents’ Glen, at 1000 Golf Club Drive, is accepting memberships now for its 18-hole golf course and country club, which open April 1, and its restaurant (The Grille), which opens April 15, she said.
Her father “is committed, and we all are, to just make Regents’ Glen better than ever, what it was intended to be back when it was built” some 20 years ago, Heather Krebs said.
His construction company did work on the country club when it was being built, so her dad always knew “it had the potential to be a special place,” Heather Krebs recalled.
Heather Krebs, Regents’ Glen’s membership director, said her father also plans to have “quite a few more” units added to the mix of single-family homes, townhouses and villas at the property.
