The Business Journal asked online real estate company Zillow to research the most-searched midstate zip codes on its website.
Zillow provided the top 10 zip codes searched this year, as of Dec. 3. The company also provided the top 10 areas for home searches since the presidential election on Nov. 8.
The post-election results were fairly comparable to the year-to-date search, with the exception of two zip codes.
Harrisburg’s 17102 zip code was No. 10 for the year, but was not on the post-election top 10 list.
In the York-Hanover area, the 17364 zip code around Thomasville was the most-searched zip code between Nov. 9 and Dec. 3, but not in the top 10 for the year.
See 2016’s top 10 zip codes marked in the map below, with their ranking.
