Zarborney launched his broad-based contract lobbying firm, One+ Strategies, early this year.
The firm has clients in the health care, technology, energy, transportation, education, and economic development sectors.
Prior to founding the firm, he worked as a partner at Maverick Strategies for 16 years.
Zaborney said recent successes include extending the Transportation Networking Company (TNC) authorization law allowing companies like Uber to continue to serve cities and communities across the state, delivering tens of millions of dollars in RACP funding for public private developments, helping to pass record funding for the higher education institutions represented by the firm, and funding for Central PA art hubs like the Susquehanna art museum and The Harrisburg Symphony.
“I took a non-traditional approach by coming up through the campaign side rather than a long tenure in the legislature. This experience has helped me stay focused on not only the policy goals of clients but the types of messages that resonate both with legislators and the public. It has also allowed me to operate at a fast pace, as campaigns move quickly. I’ve always enjoyed the intersection of relationships, client’s public policy goals, and the message needed to accomplish these goals,” Zaborney said.
