The forum will be held at the York Jewish Community Center, 2000 Hollywood Drive, with doors opening at 3:30 p.m. and the program beginning at 4 p.m. Seating is limited to 300 attendees, and the program will include light refreshments and a question and answer session.
The speaker will be Dr. Valerie Arkoosh, immediate past president of the National Physicians Alliance, an organization founded to promote health and foster active engagement of physicians with their communities to achieve high quality, affordable health care for all.
Arkoosh is also professor of clinical anesthesiology and clinical obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Northwestern University; a master’s degree in public health, with a concentration in health policy, from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health; and a medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine.
The presenting organizations are the York Branch NAACP #2294 and the York JCC.
