Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union, also known as PSECU, said Monday it has promoted its chief technology officer, Clifton Van Scyoc, to the assistant vice president level.
In his new role, Van Scyoc is responsible for the design, development, release and maintenance of technology systems and services used for all of PSECU’s business functions.
Additionally, he provides direction for the credit union’s technology systems and identifies new opportunities to use technology.
“During his tenure at PSECU, Cliff has demonstrated a keen understanding of the technology resources our members need to securely navigate today’s constantly changing, tech-focused banking environment,” Rick Long, PSECU vice president of information technology services, said in a statement.
Before joining PSECU in late 2016, Van Scyoc served as the chief technology officer and chief information security officer for the Pennsylvania departments of Human Services, Insurance and Aging.
He also served as the chief information security officer for the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.
“I look forward to serving PSECU’s valued members and ensuring they receive only the best quality products and services from us. Technology has played a large part in making PSECU what it is today, and we are dedicated to maintaining that legacy into the future,” Van Scyoc said in a statement.
Based in Harrisburg, PSECU serves more than 430,000 members statewide and has over $5 billion in assets.
Founded in 1934, PSECU offers memberships to state employees, including municipality and school district employees. Membership is also available to graduates and employees of colleges and universities in the state’s system of higher education. Family members of existing PSECU members are also eligible to join.
