Camp Hill-based Pro-Cut Construction Services Inc. is now employee-owned.

The company, located at 3939 Trindle Road, which does business as Pro-Cut Concrete Sawing & Drilling, finalized the ownership transfer Dec. 31.

CEO Kevin Craig said he and partner Dennis Shifler started considering options for the company as he was looking ahead toward retirement.

“We’ve always been forward thinking, and we wanted to make sure the company stayed independent and locally owned,” Craig said. “We also wanted to thank our highly skilled employees for the work they do because they make this happen.”

By transitioning to a 100% Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), Craig and Shifler met their goals, and the 33 employees will now share in the success of the company. Employees who are 18 and older are eligible to participate in the ESOP after completing one year of employment.

“We have always treated our employees like family,” said Craig, who said he has no plans to retire any time soon. “We are excited that everyone now has a stake in the business.”

The leadership structure will remain the same “We have a strong management team in place, with over 120 years of combined experience,” Shifler said.

“The company remains focused on providing its customers with exceptional work by combining innovation and technology, along with their highly skilled employees,” Shifler said.

Pro-Cut has been in business for more than 50 years, offering concrete cutting and selective demolition services in the East Coast and Mid-Atlantic regions to a wide variety of sectors including commercial construction, heavy highway, food services, wastewater and water treatment demolition, medical, manufacturing, high security institutions, government, transportation, industrial, and public utilities.
