Cumberland County-based Post Acute Medical LLC reported beating out many competitors to buy a long-term acute care hospital for its Texas and Louisiana subsidiary, Warm Springs.
Formerly named Promise Hospital of San Antonio, the 26-bed facility within Southwest General Hospital will be renamed Warm Springs Specialty Hospital of San Antonio.
“This transaction is part of our strategic positioning in San Antonio and enables us to deliver a full spectrum of post-acute services,” Anthony Misitano, president and CEO of Post Acute Medical, said in a news release.
Richard Gold, Promise Healthcare executive vice president of hospital operations, noted that Promise operates 13 hospitals in six states and is focusing its growth in its home state, Florida.
Post Acute Medical is a specialty health care provider with a focus on long-term acute care.
