Millions of Americans are expected to tune in Monday night when Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump meet in their first face-to-face debate of the presidential election.
The debate, moderated by Lester Holt of NBC Nightly News and hosted by Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y., is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. ET and run for 90 minutes.
Most major networks are expected to carry it live.
The debate is the first in a series of three. The second and third are on Oct. 9 and Oct. 19, respectively.
The vice presidential candidates, Democrat Tim Kaine and Republican Mike Pence, meet on Oct. 4.
