How do you keep your product fresh and up to date? Jennifer Lynn, whose “product” is radio, will address that question at an upcoming meeting of professional women at York College. Lynn is a host and producer for “Morning Edition” at Philadelphia’s NPR station WHYY.
Lynn will discuss “Staying Relevant in an Era of Radio Reinvention” at a luncheon meeting of the York College Women’s Business Center Organization on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 11:30 a.m. in Alumni Hall in the college’s West Campus Community Center.
Tickets cost $25 and must be purchased online by Friday, Sept. 16.
The WBCO, an initiative of the college’s Graham School of Business, is geared toward providing resources for women in business.
For “Morning Edition,” which is broadcast on 90.9 FM and streamed on WHYY.org from 6 to 10 a.m. weekdays, Lynn writes, produces and delivers many broadcast segments and interviews civic and cultural leaders.
Now in her 30th year in radio, Lynn joined WHYY in 2001 as a newsreader and producer and has served as longtime stand-in local host for “Morning Edition” and “NewsWorks Tonight” as well as NPR’s “All Things Considered.”
