The public will get a look next week at the second phase of PennDOT‘s U.S. Route 15/state Route 581 interchange
reconstruction in Camp Hill, Cumberland
County.
“The purpose of the meeting is to better acquaint the
businesses in Camp Hill and Lemoyne of the details for that project,” said
Rebecca Rosser Yearick, downtown manager with the Cumberland County
Redevelopment Authority.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Camp Hill Administration Building,
2145 Walnut St.
The interchange is sandwiched between the Camp Hill Shopping Center in the borough and the Capital City
Mall in Lower Allen Township.
It’s also close to other West
Shore boroughs and
business districts.
If communities and businesses have details about the
construction, traffic patterns and detours, then they can plan ahead, Yearick
said.
PennDOT began the first phase of the project March 12.
PennDOT will put the second phase up for contractor bids this year. Construction is scheduled to begin in
2009. The second phase will cost about $58 million and is scheduled for a 2011
completion.
