Penn State Health has consolidated several medical and surgical specialties into a newly renovated location on the campus of its Holy Spirit Medical Center in Camp Hill.
At 429 N. 21st St. in the Susquehanna Outpatient Center, Penn State Health Specialty Services brings bariatric surgery, general surgery, nutrition and weight management, trauma surgery and urology under one roof.
The space includes 21 exam rooms, three procedure rooms and two x-ray rooms. The urology practice is being relocated from Hampden Medical Center; the rest of the surgical practices are coming from the nearby Medical Arts Building.
Specialty Services physicians will perform surgeries at nearby Holy Spirit Medical Center and Hampden Medical Center.
Later this summer, the practice will expand with five additional physicians: two general surgeons, two bariatric surgeons and a urologist.
“This renovated space allows our physicians and staff from multiple surgical specialties to better serve our patients right here, in one location,” Dr. Safa Farzin, senior vice president of Penn State Health Medical Group, said in a release. “It supports our long-term goal of ensuring that everyone in the communities we serve is within 10 minutes of a Penn State Health primary care provider, 20 minutes of its specialty care services and 30 minutes of a Penn State Health acute care hospital.”
