Penn National Insurance moves up in IT ranks
It’s not the first year Penn National Insurance has been
ranked among the top companies to work for in information technology.
However, the Harrisburg-based property-and-casualty
insurance company moved up 10 spots to No. 62 from last year’s rank, according
to the “100 Best Places to Work in IT 2008” from Computerworld, a Boston-based
magazine for information-technology managers.
Penn National was the only company based in the Central Pennsylvania, but others on the list have a large
presence here, including:
- Sun Microsystems Inc., No. 14
- BAE Systems Inc., No. 21
- Apollo Group Inc., No. 56
- Exelon Corp., No. 70
- United Parcel Service of America Inc., No. 74.
