Penn National Gaming files for Kan. license

Wyomissing, Berks County-based Penn National Gaming Inc. has filed a license application with the Kansas Lottery Commission.

Wyomissing, Berks County-based Penn National Gaming Inc. has filed a license application with the Kansas Lottery Commission. The application is for the company to be considered as the lottery gaming facility manager at a proposed $295 million casino resort in Cherokee County, Kan.

Penn National owns and operates Penn National Race Course in East Hanover Township, Dauphin County. The company expects to open The Hollywood Casino at the race course in the first quarter of 2008.
