A co-founder and owner of Navarro & Wright Consulting Engineers since 1996, Navarro guides N&W’s direction to adhere to its mission and is responsible for the company’s overall strategy. There is a team of 200 professionals, six offices and two Soils and Material Testing Laboratories delivering high-quality services to public and private sector markets in the mid-Atlantic region. Navarro relies on an outstanding management team and staff to put in place the firm’s strategic plan so he can focus on entering new markets and stay active in professional/community organizations.
“It’s no secret that the engineering industry as a whole is struggling against a widespread skill and staff shortage,” Navarro explained. “Ensuring that we have enough people with the right skills and experience is critical, and we are focused to bring a greater number and greater diversity of young people into engineering.”
He said it is more critical now to create and keep a culture and environment that’s supportive and adaptive, “and we have a great team that has stepped up the recruiting efforts to meet those needs.”
