ParenteBeard Wealth Management is among the top 300 registered investment advisory firms in the country, according to trade publication Financial Times.
The firm, which is headquartered in East Lampeter Township, Lancaster County, was the only one from the midstate to make the list and one of 14 from Pennsylvania. ParenteBeard also made the top 300 in 2016.
Financial Times compiles the list based on factors like assets under management, asset growth rate, years in existence, advisers’ credentials and online accessibility. Firms can qualify for consideration by having more than $300 million in assets and completing an application.
About 725 firms applied in 2017, the fourth year Financial Times compiled the list.
“We are very proud to have earned the Financial Times’ recognition again,” Angie Stephenson, COO and a senior partner of ParenteBeard, said in a news release. “It serves as validation that our team members place clients’ best interests first by combining extensive industry knowledge with a commitment to independent advice and mutual trust.”
ParenteBeard has about $1.2 billion in assets and six offices throughout Pennsylvania. It was once part of a larger CPA firm but broke off on its own after Chicago-based Baker Tilly acquired the main accounting practice in 2014.
